The village head of Idu Community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abuja, Chief Muhammad B. Makama has called for more support to the Executive Chairman of the Area council, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, to ensure the continuous delivery of democratic dividends at the grassroots.
Makama said the Council Chairman had been able to live up to electoral promises and expectations within barely two years at the helm of affairs.
He made the call while addressing journalists on the sidelines of the naming ceremony of his new born son, yesterday in Idu.
According to him, the current AMAC chairman had given Idu and other communities a facelift by constructing and rehabilitating access roads with drainages and culverts.
This, according to the community leader would contribute in no small measure to durability of roads, which ease vehicular and human movements for the rapid development of the grassroots.
Makama added that among others, the council under the current leadership of Candido gave them a transformer, which he said that he knew that they would help them install soonest.
In order to enjoy more democracy dividends, the community leader called all the indigenes and residents of the council to ensure that the executive chairman is returned to office come 2019.
