NYSC deploys 1,624 corps members to Gombe

At least, 1,624 corps members were said to have been deployed to Gombe state with a view to serve their father land.
State coordinator of NYSC in Gombe Mr. David Pwanidi Markson gave the hint yesterday during the official opening of camp/swearing -in ceremony of 2017 Batch A Corps members deployed to Gombe state.
While congratulating them on their successful academic pursuits, the state coordinator enjoined them to be agent of change during and after their meritorious service.
According to him, based on the national assignment which they found worthy, both in character and learning, there is urgent need for the corps members to represent family as well as their institutions of learning.
He called on them not to relent in keeping the camp environment clean, saying members who are found with negative behaviour such as violence, cultism and bigotry will be punished.
Speaking further, the coordinator solicited government’s support to always visit the camp with a view to interact with corps members from time to time.
On his part. Gombe state governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo who was represented by the Head of Civil Service Alhaji Adamu Haruna Abubakar while congratulating the corps members, called on them to pay attention to lectures to be delivered and to participate in all the activities within the camp.
He assured that government is committed to commence work at the new camp site at Doho community in Kwami local government area of Gombe state.
