NABTEB tasks staffers on revenue drive

Authorities of National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) have charged staff of the Board to develop strategy that would boost revenue to address challenges ahead.
Chairman, Governing Board of NABTEB, Prof. Leonard Karshima Shilgba disclosed this when he led the newly constituted Board members to the NABTEB headquarters on Wednesday in Benin City.
He assured the staff and members that the Board would reward diligent staff that give credible and developmental information that could foster expansion and growth of the organisation.
“If information provided by any staff to the organisation email leads to a successful output in accordance with NABTEB mandate, such staff will be considered for NABTEB Governing Board reward. Our values go beyond money; rather, it attracts money, because it will give satisfaction beyond giving money.
“Improvement in staff welfare must march commitment, if you work hard and produce result, you shall be rewarded. We need money, because we do not have enough money to do everything at once.
According to he professor of Mathematics “If we jerk up the figure of candidates registered every year for examination, there will be enough funds to do all these things needed. Everybody has to be involved.
“Do not fold your hands and say whatever happens to NABTEB is not your responsibility. Forget what comes from Federal Government, look at what comes through the efforts of staff and management. Everybody should endeavour to be a marketer to improve the revenue generation for the organisation.
“Never sabotage management, never do anything to destroy the work of a management staff. If you do that, you are destroying yourself. Never go behind to destroy the good work of others. Sow good seed, and you will reap what you sowed.
The Registrar and Chief Executive of NABTEB, Prof. Ifeoma M. Isiugo-Abanihe had informed her guests that the examination body has the mandate to conduct examinations leading to the award of National Business Certificate, National Technical Certificate, Modular Trade Certificate, National Skills Qualifications, and many others.
She hinted: “I would like to that in today’s world where vocational education and skills excellence shape and improve individuals and nations, the role of NABTEB in the quest for sustainable economic and technology development in Nigeria is pivotal.
