Prominent investor and Chairman/CEO of Synergy Infrastructure Development and Investment Limited, Alhaji Alhassan Amadu Dantata, has lauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Honorable Nyesom Wike, describing his urban infrastructure drive in Abuja as unprecedented across Africa.
Speaking on the transformation of the nation’s capital, Dantata declared that no leader in modern Nigerian history has demonstrated as much “commitment and positive audacity” toward realizing the Abuja Master Plan as the current administration.
He spoke with journalists on the sideline of the official launching of National Library of Nigeria Endowment Foundation, in Abuja on Thursday.
According to Dantata, Abuja was originally designed with 93 districts, but prior to Wike assuming office, only 11 had been developed.
He noted that this vast underdevelopment previously left the capital short of its master plan vision.
“Having lived in Abuja for over 15 years, the transformation is so vast that even I need to use Google Maps to find my way around now.
“That is what leadership should look like no stories, claims, or counterclaims. Regarding the Abuja Master Plan, he is a saviour,” Dantata remarked.
He emphasized that as the capital city of the largest black nation and economy in the world, Abuja must showcase Nigeria’s true potential to the international community.
He challenged critics to a public debate backed by facts, asserting that Wike’s work stands as a lasting legacy for both the Minister and the President.
Beyond praising current developments, the business leader outlined strategic proposals to further elevate the city’s infrastructure and sustainability profile.
Dantata suggested leveraging Abuja’s distinct topography by installing wind turbines along the prominent hills of Pepe, Gwarinpa, and Guzape.
This initiative, he argued, could transition Abuja into a true green city powered by renewable energy rather than relying solely on the conventional grid.
To boost vitality and high-rise commercial development in the city core, he appealed to the FCT Minister to construct two key bridges over the valley along Hospital Avenue North and Hospital Avenue South.
He added that connecting these routes directly from the valley to the ministries would unlock seamless access to the Three Arms Zone and the Central Business District.
Declaration of Wholehearted Support
Despite maintaining that he is strictly a businessman with no political affiliations or personal ties to the President or the Minister, Dantata declared his readiness to back Wike’s future political endeavors.
“I am not a politician, but I am ready, personally, to work with and for Nyesom Wike in any political position he contests for.
“I am ready to support him wholeheartedly,” Dantata stated.
