2018 Hajj: Jigawa trains journalists on hajj operation

Jigawa state Pilgrims and Welfare Board (JSPWB) has educated the selected journalists covering 2018 Hajj operation to strictly abide by the law and ethics of the profession while in the holy land.
Executive Secretary of the Board, Muhammad Sani Alhassan, disclosed this yesterday while addressing the selected media organizations billed to cover the 2018 Hajj, where he urged them to strictly comply with the ethics of the profession and avoid anything that can tarnish the image of both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
He said presently, the Jigawa board has 705 pilgrims that have already completed their fees and are waiting to be airlifted to the holy land.
According to him, already they have acquired a befitting accommodation and have made a good plan on pilgrims feeding arrangement while in Saudi Arabia.
He said that the pilgrims are on training and soon the immunization of the intending pilgrims will commence, to be followed by the distribution of uniform to each and every pilgrim.
Further explaining, he said that already the state government has prepared for welfare of pilgrims, security, medical team and journalists expected to be part of the team.
The Executive Secretary urged the journalists to avoid interfering with anything regarding the host country, saying that Saudi Arabia has placed effective security to monitor the in and out movement of all pilgrims.
