The relief items said to be made up of food and non-food items were distributed to the displaced persons in the premises of Madagali Local Government Secretariat in Gulak.

Ngillari sympathized with the IDPs and assured them of government support towards addressing their plights and finding lasting solution to the security challenges in the areas.

The statement also said the North East zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Alhaji Mohammed Kanar said the NEMA’s Director General had dispatched the relief items as approved by the Federal Government for the immediate distribution to ameliorate the suffering of the people.

It will be recalled that the residents of Izghe and several communities in Gwoza Local Government of Borno state came under armed attack last week during which many lives were lost and most of the survivors fled to the nearby Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
