The Jigawa state government has allocated sixty five hectares of land to the National Jama’atul Izalatul bid’ A Waikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) for the establishment of Islamic University in Hadejia area of Jigawa state.
The National Chairman of the Associations, Sheikh Bala Lau announced the donation at the official lunching of save for Ram innitiative in the state held yesterday at Wadugur area of Ringim local government Jigawa state.
He said, the initiative was formed by Save for Ram Limited in collaboration with JIBWIS aimed at alleviating stresses associated with the purchase of Rams during EID-al-Adha in fulfillment of spiritual obligations.
According Sheik Lau, the JIBWIS formally received the Certificate of land allocation through His Royal Highness Emir of Hadejia Alhaji Abubakar Maje.
He explained that implementation committee will be set up for the actualization of the university and will shoulder the responsibility of estimating the cost and the courses.
Lau stated that Jigawa state been a peaceful place and investment friendly is also a center for northern Eastern States was selected for the establishment of the institution.
National Chairman of JIBWIS also stated that association has generated about N264M in three years through animal skin donations to JIBWIS by Muslim Ummah across the country.
He explained that the money is used for the establishment Manara Television, Abubakar Gumi quest house and will soon construct mosque and clinic out of the funds.
Also commenting the Jigawa state governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar assured to gives all the necessary support for the actualization of the university.
