Tpl. Mukhtar Usman Galadima, has officially declared his candidacy under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency of Taraba State, presenting a comprehensive legislative agenda focused on healthcare expansion, infrastructure development, and peacebuilding across Southern Taraba.

Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, Galadima emphasized that improving health services is a primary policy priority for his campaign.

As part of this commitment, he disclosed that a newly established 50-bed medical facility is scheduled to open and become fully operational before the end of the year.

To ensure the service remains affordable and accessible to local residents, he noted that plans are currently underway to integrate the facility with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) framework.

Addressing the critical transportation and logistical deficits in the region, Galadima highlighted the completion of the long-abandoned Ibi Bridge as a paramount infrastructure goal.

Finalizing the bridge project will restore vital interstate connectivity, directly linking Taraba State to Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory, while also supporting improved transit links toward Benue State.

To resolve ongoing communal challenges in Southern Taraba, Galadima promised to introduce a multi-tiered peacebuilding strategy centered on active community dialogue.

He pledged to host regular town hall meetings that bring together conflicting factions to resolve issues collaboratively.

Additionally, he plans to establish a Constituency Consultative Assembly (CCA) with structured offices across all wards, local government areas, and constituency headquarters to maintain continuous grassroots representation and civic engagement.
