The Niger State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Nasko has assured Nigerlites that if he is elected, he will form a formidable team that can deliver service to the people and run an inclusive government.
Nasko gave the assurance during a press briefing at the weekend in Minna at the PDP Secretariat after he officially submitted his letter of intent and declared to re-contest for the governorship of the state come 2019 general elections.
The party stalwart said that his team will comprise of vibrant Nigerlites that has the passion and capacity to delivery, while he drive the state to enviable heights.
Nasko, who was the 2015 candidate of the PDP, reiterated that if given the opportunity, his first one year achievements will be equivalent to eight (8) years past records, hence he promised to spend one term of four years and allow a stable zoning arrangement.
He urged his supporters to be patient, law abiding and avoid crisis and abusive words to any individual or group, promising to set a high standard that would be difficult to surmount by leaving to the expectations of the youths, while working together with the elders to tap from their wisdom and experiences.
Nasko emphasized that accountability on his campaign promises will be his watch words in all ramifications, hence his presentation of his manifestoes to the party titled “Moving Forward”, so that the electorates can hold him responsible and checkmate his service delivery.
He noted that he has not chosen a running mate until after the party primaries, but will take into cognisance competence, religion, and tribe in making his choice.
Nasko, while assessing Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, said that it is easy to access when sitting on the fence than when inside, according to him “If you vote them out, that means they have not succeed in their performance, but when they are voted again, that means they have performed to their expectations” he stated.
