A political interest group, Kaduna Redemption Group has come hard on the Kaduna Senator, Mallam Shehu Sani describing him as an opportunist, mischief maker, pretender and ambitious power monger while urging the people to support Kaduna Governor, Mr. Nasir El-Rufai.
In a press statement released by the group in Abuja and signed by its Chairman, Yahaya Mohammed, it noted that Sani is unpopular and no longer enjoying the support of his constituents.
“Having followed his antecedent which is deeply rooted in opportunism, mischief, pretence, negative credentials that are surplus commodity among some Nigerian politicians and activists, we have seen in him an ambitious power monger with an unquenchable appetite for materialism and stardom.
“On the recent disguise Sallah homage of Shehu Sani to President Buhari in Daura, we must raise alarm that he longer enjoys the confidence of his constituents and APC members in Kaduna State. It is a known fact Shehu stained himself by becoming a willing tool in the leprous hands of anti-Buhari elements.
The noted that since Sani ventured into public consciousness, he maintained a deceptive stand and brazenly compromised on all issues with direct bearing to the interest of Northerners.
They stated that Sani is not happy that El-Rufai administration in Kaduna state is recording a remarkable progress in terms of Kaduna becoming one of the investment destinations in the country as demonstrated by Olam farm’s presence in the state.
They accused him of attempting to cripple the administration Gov. El-Rufai and the well-being of the state when he influenced the senate to reject foreign loan granted to Kaduna State.
“We urge the much blackmailed Governor El-Rufai and betrayed people of the state to brace up for the defence of the mandate given to the state Governor. It is not the duty of the Senators to block good things coming to the state. We are astonished that they are busy becoming the stumbling block to the progress and development of the state” the statement read in part.
