The Nigerian Export Promotion Council, (NEPC), has emerged as the runner-up for the bronze award for its commitment to quality.
This was at the recently held 2nd National Quality award 2018 organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Industry which held at Dunes Centre, Maitama Abuja on December 4, 2018. NEPC won the Level 1, Category C of the National Quality Award for Commitment to Quality.
The award was presented by Hajia Aisha Abubakar the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, to Mr. Sidi-Aliyu Director Policy & Strategy, NEPC who represented the CEO/ Executive Director NEPC, Mr. Segun Awolowo.
The Council was considered for the Award because of the establishment of an ICT Centre in Abuja for training on Quality Management Systems (QMS), a required National Quality Infrastructure Project (NQIP) meant to boost the quality ratings of non-oil export commodities.
