Bauchi Tribunal commences pre hearing session

Election Petition Tribunal in Bauchi State has commenced pre-hearing session on the cases filed by various Political Parties on National and State Assembly elections.
Speaking at the opening ceremony today, the Chairperson of the tribunal, Justice Hafsat Abdurrahman reaffirmed the determination of the tribunal to ensure justice and fairness in the discharge of it’s assigned responsibilities.
Justice Hafsat said the tribunal would exhibit high sense of maturity in the conduct of its assignment by using the available evidences presented before it.
The Chairperson listed the cases filed at the tribunal as 7 for Senatorial, 8 House of Representatives while 12 is State House of Assembly.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Deke Muhammad while welcoming members of the election tribunal to the state, appealed to those involved to give their maximum support for hitch free exercise.
In the remark, the State NBA Chairman, Barrister Mahmoud Maidoki pledged his members support to the tribunal for effective service delivery.
