The Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) has extolled the exemplary dedication of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to the promotion of peace, unity and development of the nation.
In a goodwill message to congratulate ex- President Obasanjo on the occasion of his 77th birthday anniversary,
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu praised Obasanjo for his contribution to nation building, especially in the area of deepening the nation’s democracy.
The forum said the nation is lucky to have Chief Obasanjo at every twist and turn, describing his life as one of exceptional professional and political accomplishments.
“In a life that has seen Chief Obasanjo reach the zenith of his carrier as a four-star General in the Nigerian Army and military Head of State; acclaimed as one of our nation’s first-rated farmers; a consummate political leader and civilian President, his life is no doubt that of immense professional and political accomplishments,” Governor Aliyu said in a statement signed by his spokesman Danladi Ndayebo.
The forum said it is proud to be associated with the achievements of the former Nigerian leader in all the critical sector of the nation’s economy.
It then prayed God to grant Chief Obasanjo excellent health, courage and many more years of selfless service to Nigeria and humanity.
