From Osakhare Erese Asaba

Tension and fear of the unknown have continued to mount in home of two brothers allegedly killed by their senior brother in Asaba, Delta State on Monday as family members including mother of the victims have fled home into hiding.
While security agents had confirmed the arrest of three persons including the “killer”. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka who spoke to our reporter in Asaba said: “the police have arrested three persons including the “killer” in connection with the killings, they were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, and they are currently being interrogated following intelligence reports”.
Meanwhile security agents have taken over the area of the deceased, and neighbouring streets to avert further casualties.
Mrs. Florence Nwani, mother of the deceased who said she just returned from the United States of America (USA) when this incident happened, told our reporter in her hiding place: “ I am in tears, I have called my lawyer, and I have willed all my properties to the orphans, I cannot stay alive again, what am I living for, I work for my wealth, and my children are fighting for it when I am still alive, I will go back to my creator”.
Sources alleged that the incident may have been informed by a curse places on the family by their father who hails from Edo State over unruly behaviour of the deceased before they were murdered by their senior brother.
But a neighbour, Esther Igumbo who spoke to our reporter said: “since their mother traveled out of Nigeria, there has been trouble, “evil powers” from the victims’ father’s house struck, I was with Kingsley, one of the victims one day, when he told me of dream how he was being pushed by masquerade in his dream, and he was subsequently killed in the dream”.
A visit to the scene of the incident by our correspondent revealed tension and tears profusely running down the eyes of sympathizers, while palpable fear of the unknown enveloped the atmosphere with some persons believed to be security agents patrolling the area(s).
Recall that pandemonium struck on Monday in DLA road, off Summit road, Asaba after a young man identified as Kelvin Nwani allegedly stabbed his two brothers to death for not allowing him to watch preferred channels on DSTV including taking possession of their mother’s properties.
While one of the victims identified as Kingsley Nwani was said to have died on the spot, the second victim, Abel died at the hospital where he was rushed to.
The suspected assailant was said to have disappeared into the thin air after committing the crime. It was gathered that the mother of the victims including Kelvin, the “Killer” owned choice of properties in Asaba and outside Asaba including a patrol station on Summit road Asaba which was managed by the Kingsley Nwani before the bubble burst.
Speaking further, DSP Andrew Aniamaka said: “the police have arrested the “killer” including three others in connection with the act” and they are being detained for further investigation.
The incident which had attracted hue and cry in Asaba and its environs, had also created divergent views in the act, especially with the alleged curse placed on the family by their father over neglecting him in Edo State.
