Oré said, the visit, in addition to help enhance judicial cooperation, is also designed as an avenue where wealth of experiences between the two courts will be harnessed.
This is contained in a statement signed by the African Court, made available to the judiciary correspondents, during a Mini African Court Sensitisation/Training for Media In Collaboration With The Federal Ministry of Justice.
According to the statement, the African court delegation, which includes three judges and senior Registry staff, will have their first port of call to the President Muhammad Buhari and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Justice.
The delegation will also visit the Nigerian Human Rights Commission and the Nigerian Bar Association, Non Governmental Organisations and Civil Society Organisations.
The AFCHPR was established by virtue of Article 1 of the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People’s Right, to complement the protective mandate of the African Commission of Human and Peoples Right , with a view to enhancing the protection of human rights on the continent.
Out of the 30 states partied to the Protocol, only eight states(Nigeria exclusive) had made declaration, recognising the competence of the court.
