Indonesian ambassador celebrates Sallah in Rugga village

The entire Rugga Fulani village, Lower Usman Dam in the outskirts of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nigeria was agog on Tuesday – Sallah day – when the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr H. Usra Hendra Harahap, his spouse, Ibu Hj. Umrotien Zunaeny Harahap and embassy staff arrived there to celebrate Sallah with them.
“Eid Adha is a period to show love, care and brotherhood for humanity, especially the less privileged among us. My wife, the entire embassy staff and I are delighted to be with the Fulani tribe in their community,” he said.
The Ambassador, who slaughtered a cow, also shared and donated several food items for both adult and children.
In his remarks, Ardo Musa Ibrahim expressed gratitude on behalf of Rugga Fulani community of Lower Usman Dam. He said they were overwhelmed by the visit and the time spent with them by the ambassador.
“We thank the Ambassador, his wife and the entire embassy staff for visiting us and giving meat, rice and Indomie to us,” he said.
