National Confab: NACOMYO, MSSN urge Muslims to boycott parley

The Sokoto State chapter of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) and Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) yesterday faulted the mode of selection of participants for the national conference.

Addressing a press conference in Sokoto on Tuesday, the spokesman of the group, Dr. Sahabi Maidamma Jabo urged all Muslim delegates to boycott the conference.

The group noted that the number of participating Muslim in the national confab is far less in percentage when compared with theirChristian counterparts.

He explained that out of the 492 delegates released, Muslim only constitute about one-third.

“Decision-making in the Confab could be achieved by either consensus or 75 percent majority which is clearly to the disadvantage of Muslims.
