The Governor gave the warning yesterday at the inaugural meeting of the Council held at the Council Chamber, Government House Bauchi.
He said the measures became necessary because of his administration’s desire to use the little resources at its disposal to fulfill his campaign promises of restoring the lost glory of the state.
Governor Bala said for the present administration to meet the expectations of the citizenry, there was need for members of the State Executive Council to assist the administration in looking inwards towards reducing over dependence on federation account.
The Governor tasked them to use their experience to overcome the challenges affecting critical stakeholders of the state’s economy by being responsible and accountable in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities.
He said that he would sign Performance Indicators with all the members of the council particularly the Commissioners on the activities to be conducted in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The Governor used the medium to assure the people of the state that his administration would work with relevant stakeholders regardless of their political differences in order to perform better than his predecessor.
