Police arrest soldier with 169 bags of Indian hemp in Jigawa

The Jigawa state Police Command has yesterday announced the arrest of a military corporal in possession of 169 bags of Indian hemp around Ringim local government are of Jigawa State.
The arrest was confirmed by the state Police Commissioner, CP Bala Zama Senchi while briefing news men yesterday in Dutse the state capital.
He explained that, on 17th september,2019 about 2030hrs the men of operation puff Adder while on patrol along Ringim local government axis, received a report of a motor vehecle accident along Sankara-Amaguwa road in Ringm LGA.
“On the arrival at the scene, they met an accident car, one Toyota Camry with registration number KTU 833 DK based on enquiry, they found that the vehicle somersaulted while on motion, and only one army personnel in uniform was met.
“While searching the accident scene, the men recovered one hundred and sixty nine bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
Hence they arrested one person in army uniform by name CPL Muzambilu Abdullahi ‘M’ 30 years old who was in the war against Boko Haram in Borno state but absconded from service seven months ago,” the CP said.
