Niger Speaker assures media of legislative support

The Speaker of the Niger state House of Assembly, Honorable Abdullahi Bawa Wuse, has assured the media practitioners in the state of unflinching legislative support in carrying out their primary mandates for the society.
Honourable Wuse made the disclosure yesterday when he received on a courtesy call the members of the press crew of the State House of Assembly led by Abdulkadir Mustapha at the complex in Minna.
He emphasized on the crucial roles of the media in democracy however reassured members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm of the assembly continued support and partnership to sustain mutual benefits.
The speaker also said that the state 9th legislature appreciated the tremendous roles and cooperation of the entire members of the media representatives under the umbrella of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ in publicizing the activities of the assembly urging for its sustainance.
Earlier, the crew chairman, Abdulkadir Mustapha appealed to the speaker to assist members of the crew with working tools like recorders, iPads and office accommodation within the Assembly complex, organized training so as to improve their legislative coverage skills to enable them discharge their responsibilities effectively.
He congratulated the leadership and members of the 9th Assembly for their victory in the polls and subsequent emergence as Principal Officers of the house while praying for their success in office.
