Following the visit by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister of State, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu to Gwagwalada Area Council, some of the residents of Kutunku community in the area, have accused the minister of failing to visit the abandoned cottage hospital in the community.
They also scolded the officials of the FCT Administration who were aware of the abandoned hospital without intimating the minister during the visit.
The residents, who spoke with our in separate interviews after the visit of the minister on Tuesday, appealing to the minister to deem it necessary to complete the neglected cottage hospital in Kutunku community.
Malam Yahaya Madaki, a resident in the community, who was visibly angry, said he was disappointed as the minister did not visit the site of the abandoned hospital in Kutunku community.
Another resident, Mr Magaji Shamaki, expressed with dismay the way the FCT Administration abandoned the hospital in the bush.
Shamaki said: “The most painful thing is that the FCT Administration has not care to complete the hospital project”.
Mr Emma Silas, who is also a resident in the community, called on the minister to repair the dilapidated Kutunku road that links to FRCN road for the benefit of commuters.
However, an aggrieved APC member who spoke on the condition of anonymity, alleged that the planned by the FCT minister of state to visit the six area councils was an avenue for the minister to loot government funds.
