Kano emir gives N2m aid to 60-year old man

The emir of Kano State, Muhammad Sunusi II, on Monday reportedly gave the sum of two million naira aid to a 60 year-old, Mallam Yusuf of Dorayi Quarters in Gwale local government area, Kano, to settle the hospital bill for an operation on his barren wife.

Yusuf, who currently lives in Kaduna state, was said to have been worried over his wife’s inability to bear a child after marrying her 40 years ago.

The report has it that doctor’s reports showed that the woman has a problem in her womb, thus barring her from producing offspring.

The desperate man, was said to have met a doctor in an Abuja hospital for solution, after years of struggle to see many specialised doctors across the country in an effort to get his wife become able to give birth to a child,

The report added that the doctor, who works in Nisa Premier Hospital, Abuja, assured the sexagenarian that his wife could give birth to a child should he afford to pay the sum of N1.977m.

On collecting the hospital bill, Mr. Yusuf reportedly rushed to the emir’s palace to seek for succour and to his delight, had his plea granted instantly by the emir.

Speaking, the elated man said,” After all the struggle to have my wife deliver a child, we finally went to a hospital in Abuja. The doctor assured us of success in the operation and charged us N1,977,500, and God knows, I don’t have this money, because I have been exhausted in the struggle for my wife’s health.

“That prompted me to go to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano, who instantly ordered the payment of the money. I am very happy. I ask Allah to bless the emir and protect him from all evils. May He grant him with Jannatul Firdaus”.
