The 3 Division Headquarters of Nigerian Army, Jos has flagged of the year 2020 West African Social Activities to bring in officers, soldiers and civilian families together to mark the 2020 year calendar event.
The event which held Sunday, at the Maxell Khobe Cantonment Jos, is an aged long tradition of the Nigerian Army which is designed to harmonize officers and men of the Nigerian Army and the civilian populace.
Flagging of the year’s ceremony, the General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj Gen NE Angbazo said “the vision is to ensure the welfare of Officers, Soldiers and their families in line with professional conduct, having in mind, operational base practices as well as Rules of Engagement”.
Gen. Angbazo said, “the Div have successfully completed the rounds of exercise for personnel within Corporal and below ranks, Senior Non Commission Officers and Warrant Officers, as well as Officers combat proficiency competitions”.
He thanked officers and men of the Nigerian Army within the 3 Div area of responsibility for exhibiting high sense of professionalism and resilient commitment on duty posts, which according to him, is in line with the vision of the Army Chief “To have a professionally responsive Nigerian Army in the Discharge of its constitutional roles.”
