National Directorate of Employment NDE in Niger State has given out funds through its Micro Enterprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES) to enhanced beneficiaries who have already established small businesses and the starters.
The Niger State All Progressive Congress (APC) Woman Leader, Hajiya Fatima Mustapha commended President Muhammadu Buhari and APC government for providing ways of tackling unemployment and poverty reduction in Nigeria.
She also applauded NDE for providing the enabling environment through its various trainings to ensure judicious utilization of the funds by the beneficiaries of the programmes.
The Special Guest who is the Permanent Secretary ministry of women affairs and social development, Hajiya Kantumi Dauda said that the N10, 000 to the 300 beneficiaries cut across the 25 local governments in Niger state and urged them to make use of the resources for what it was meant for.
In his remarks, the state NDE Coordinator, Alhaji Abdulmalik Liman Abubakar stated that the disbursement was an effort on the part of NDE in carrying out its mandate of job creation and poverty reduction in the country.
He said that some of the beneficiaries have had their training with the NDE and the funds will go a long way in further enhancing their businesses with the new ones would have to establish their businesses to the benefit of their families and society.
