The Niger State government has approved contracts for the rehabilitation of Kwanba, Suleja – Maje road at the sum of N418,535,240:70k as well as Tagwai road to the sum of N678,178,620:00k.
Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Mohammad Sani Idris disclosed this yesterday at a press briefing after the State Executive Council, SEC, meeting at Government House in Minna.
He said the people of that community including motorists have suffered untold hardship on that particular route for a very long time hence the need for a listening APC government led by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to come to their aid.
Aliyu further announced the approval for the re- award of a 10kilometer Tagwai road to the sum of N678,178,620:00k.
He said that the two contracts were approved under the rehabilitation projects of township roads in Niger State.
The commissioner noted the re award of Tagwai road was necessitated sequel to the revocation of the earlier 2016 contract in which the contractor only executed 49% of the work abandoning the site for years.
