OSGoF trains payment officers on new system

For the smooth operations in the management of the new payment system in its organization, the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF) has organized A-2-Day training on the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS).
In a press statement released in Abuja yesterday and signed by the OSGoF Head of press and Public Relations, Mr. Abu I. Michael, it noted the training was declared opened by the Deputy Director Accounts, Mr. Austin Ori on behalf of the Director Finance and Accounts, Mr. Aondoakaa Emmanuel Terhemen at OSGoF in Abuja.
“Participants at the training consist of accounts officers, those of procurement, stores and verifiers”.
According to the statement, “The new payment system according to him was no longer exclusive to the accounts department. He explained that the accounts department can no longer make payment under GIFMIS without the inputs of procurement officers, stores and verifiers”.
He said the payment system has been spread to include the aforementioned officers hence the training for proper management of the payment system.
The training was facilitated by officers of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) – Mr. Femi Bolaji, Mrs. Funmi Bamigbade and Mrs. Funke Odutunwase.
