Group urges Kaduna govt on child friendly justice system

A group, Carelink Resource Foundation has charged Kaduna State Government to put in place mechanism to facilitate access to a child friendly justice system.
The Chief Executive Officer of the group, Silas Ideva made the call at this year’s celebration of International Day of the Girl-child, held in Kaduna Tuesday.
Ideva reiterated that it is the duty of government to maintain peace in the country, elimination of girl-child abuse as well as implementation of laws protecting women and girls.
Speaking on the theme of this year’s commemoration, “Access to a Child Friendly Justice System” Idave said it is timely in the face of numerous challenges facing the child today.
These challenges according to him includes: the rising plague of sexual abuse on children, the high number of out of school children, malnutrition and its negative consequences, and other social protection challenges.
