A Bauchi business man, Alhaji Manu Soro has been kidnapped at the weekend by suspected gunmen in his hometown, Soro, in Ganjuwa local government area of Bauchi state.
While confirming the incident in Bauchi yesterday, the Bauchi state Police command Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed , said the businessman was abducted by unknown gunmen at about 8:10 pm Saturday, March 29, when he came out from mosque, which is behind his house at Soro town, and fired sporadically.
DSP Haruna said the police command has intensified efforts to rescue the businessman and apprehend the fleeing suspects, noting that there was no injury recorded during the incident The PPRO appealed to the good people of Bauchi to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement within their domain.
