By Ikechukwu Okaforadi

Strong indications emerged yesterday that the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, may defect from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) to enable him contest for the October 10th governorship election in the state.
Recall that Ajayi, had earlier resigned his membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in June and defected to the PDP, where he hoped to secure the party’s ticket to contest the Ondo State governorship election, but lost to Eyitayo Jegede, who is now the candidate of PDP for the election.
At the moment, sources close to the Deputy Governor, said he is set to leave the main opposition party for ZLP where he has been assured of the party ticket to contest the Ondo governorship election.
