Edo guber: Adamawa PDP stalwart backs withdrawal of forms from corrupt officials

Peoples Democratic Party,PDP stalwart in Adamawa state,Umar Ardo has expressed his support with the recent position of the presidency over withdrawal of nomination given to any person contesting any political office and standing trial on criminal charges of corruption.
Ardo,a former governorship aspirant under the same party in his response through a statement cautioned that “My position on PDP’s accusative criticism and Buhari’s response issued via his whatsApp account Monday said it is clear now that a person remains innocent till proven guilty is not enough to entrust public office to such people.
Ardo opined that to give both credible leadership and credible opposition it is incumbent on all political parties and all public practitioners to put in all elective offices credible people or the parties,and the system will continue to suffer moral deficiency syndrome before the general public.
“Any party that fields in persons with questionable integrity,either in its executive organs or for elective public office will not only have such person as a source of discredit to itself and to the society,as the current response of the presidency to an otherwise germane criticism from the PDP has proven.
“But it will also lose all moral and ethical high ground before the public as I therefore wholeheartedly support the position of the presidency on this matter.”
