Kebbi State Government has embarked on the rehabilitation and evacuation of Birnin Kebbi township roads and drainages.
Addressing journalists yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the State Capital, the General Manager of Kebbi State Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Alhaji Aliyu Umar said that exercise was part of the government commitments toward eradicating and curbing the floods across the State capital.
He added that the gesture will also be extended to the other emirates in the state.
The General Manager added that about 2 to 3 kilometre roads will be reconstructed while filling of portholes will be done where necessary.
