Youth enterpreneuriship skills, solution to poverty, unemployment, – Okowa

Delta State Governor, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa has reiterated his administration’s committment to entereneuriship skills development among the youths as measures to eradicating poverty through employment generation across the state and beyond.
Okowa who spoke to Journalists on Monday evening at Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba after declaring open a three day training workshop on entereneuriship and life skills organized by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Girl Child Empowerment, Mrs Marilyn Okowa Daramola, disclosed that his administration was aware of the importance of skills development, hence the need to strengthen the Ministries of Youths, Agriculture and Natural Resources as well as other offices like Job Creation, Micro Credit, Girl Child, among others in the state to develop their skills in different fields of human endeavours for economically independent and employers of labour.
The Governor noted that the commencement of project” Gist’s” was a step in the right direction, adding that it was his earnest hope that the 450 trainees that scaled the hurdle into the training programme would take the training very seriously.
