Retired Perm Sec donates free training facility for civil servants

The retired Permanent Secretary from the office of the Secretary to the government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Olusegun Adekunle has donated free training facility under his foundation to civil servants.
Adekunle announced the donation at send off dinner party organised by the office of the SGF in his honour in Abuja.
He said the objective of his foundation is to close a gap which he had recognised among the civil servants while he was functioning in the system.
According to him, the facility will build up the gaps in the life of civil servants after receiving training from it, adding that the training is free to all the beneficiaries.
“I attended public schools where we were fed with free lunch, that meant a lot, it give us opportunity to get educated, I think it is time to give back to the society what I benefited from it.
“We wouldn’t work in a blank, we will work with office of the Head of Service to fashion out a partnership that will ensure that regularly we are able to reach out to civil servants to build up their capacities, “ he said.
While unveiling the foundation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), appreciated Adekunle for God`s sustainability over his life while in the service to his father land, Nigeria.
Yemi-Esan noted that public/civil servants who drive the ship of civil service must be individually efficient and positively oriented enough for a change for the better in the civil service.
In addition, she said in order to achieve such goals; all hands must be on deck even as Adekunle had set an exemplary structure.
“It is based on this that the Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle Foundation was established for the training of civil servants for better service delivery to the nation.
“This Foundation will be a mentorship and training institute in honour of Sir Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle, Esq.
“Adekunle stood out as an administrator, manager and planner in his career as a civil servant with over three decades of experience, “ she explained.
