#ENDSARS: Niger Govt applauds youth over peaceful protest

Niger state government has applauded the entire youths in the state for the maturity and caution they exhibited in the on going #endsars protest which was peaceful so far.
The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hon Muhammad Sani Idris made the commendation in a statement issued at the weekend, appealed to the teeming youths in the state not to succumb to undue pressure from some disgruntled elements in the society to disrupt the existing peace in the state.
According to him , “the youths should be guided with the prevailing insecurity in some part of the state and the urgent need to effectively tackle the menace of which the state government is not relenting”.
The commissioner pointed out that, the state government note with concern the underground pressure been mounted on the youth along some sentimental divide to take to the street in the name of protest.
“The unnecessary underground mobilisation of the youths is completely incompatible with the position of the youths in the state”, he stated.
The statement then wishes to commend the youths for the trust and support of the Governor Abubakar Sani Bello led administration and assured that the state government would continue to listen and support them in their chosen carrier’s as future leaders.
