In a strategic Security Council Meeting chaired by the Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, represented by Idi Barde Gubana, and attended by heads of all security agencies in the State, the government said security agencies have been alerted to be in strategic places before, during and after the celebration to nip any potential security situation in the bud.
While briefing journalists after the meeting, the State’s Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Garba said the measures they will take includes deployment of security personnel to Eid grounds across the state.
The CP said security personnel will be at all the strategic places and places of social activities “by the time we’re ending the holiday and sallah is finished every one will be happy to say that it is another successful Eid-el-Ftr celebration.”
The Police Commissioner urges parents and guardians to monitor the movement of their children so as not allowed unscrupulous elements take advantage of the celebration to wreak havoc on lives and properties.
