The FCT Police Command have intensified strengthening of its raid on notorious den of Kidnappers along Kwaita-Kwali, Kuje,Bwari and Karshi axis of the nation’s capital city, especially during Yuletide season.
To this end, men of the Command have arrested fourteen suspected kidnappers operating in the area and rescued a ten-year old kidnap victim
In a satement from the Command hinted that the suspects confessed to have been involved in kidnapping activities, supply of logistics to kidnappers and cattle rustling in the Territory.
The statement signed by ASP Yusuf Mariam, the Command Public Relations Officer listed exhibits recovered from the suspects to include: One unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, three hundred and forty thousand naira(N340,000)and one techno phone.
“Following credible intelligence, the suspects were arrested by Police Operatives from the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad during coordinated raids on these areas.
“The suspects are: Yau Tukur 30years, Bissalla Dallatu 31years, Danladi Sule 29years, Dikko Adamu 30years, Usman Abdullahi 30 years, Mati Umaru 30years, Abubakar Usman 55years, and Abubakar Abdullahi 25years, all male.
“Exhibits recovered: One (1) unregistered Bajaj motorcycle , cash sum of three hundred and forty thousand naira(N340,000)and* one(1) techno phone.
It adds that: “In another development, the Police Operatives from Karshi Division rescued a 10-year old kidnap victim, trailed and arrested the suspects linked to his kidnap along Angwan Boyi-Karshi axis on 5th December, 2020.
“The suspects are: Lalo Bode 24years, Dahiru Aliyu 20years and Rabo Yusuf 20years all male, who confessed to the crime and other criminal activities along Karshi axis.”
The Police said all suspects upon conclusion of investigation, will be arraigned in court.
While restating that the FCT Command will not rest on its oar in ensuring the safety of lives and property within the FCT, the Command reassured residents of a hitch-free Yuletide season.
