Gov. Sule rewards Nasarawa State athletes with ten million naira

Nasarawa state governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has redeemed his pledge of ten million naira to athletes and coaches who won medals for the state in various sporting events both domestically and internationally.
The brief cash reward presentation took place at the Nasarawa state ministry of youth and sports development, Lafia with recipients from different sporting events present to claim their cash prizes.
The cash prizes ranged from one hundred thousand naira for Gold medallists, Silver medallists takes home eighty thousand naira while bronze medallists were awarded with fifty thousand naira each in addition to the glorious moments victorious coaches who led the athletes to victory were not left out of the ceremony as they were also awarded the sum of one hundred thousand naira each.
On his part commissioner for youth and sports development, Othman Bala Adam, showed his appreciation to the governor for his rationale to reward excellence, and encourage the athletes to maintain the winning spirits as this present administration is poise towards sports development.
The commissioner also defined the governor’s act as historic, as it is the first of it’s kind since the state creation, twenty four years ago.
The prize recipients include, Beauty Timothy, Monday Onah, Chioma Ani, John Ahmed, Kingsley Enyie others include, Coach Ola Obamuwe, Patricia David and Grace Jerry.
