New Executives to pilot the affairs Niger State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has emerged with Mr. George Daniya a former Niger Tornadoes media officer from Newsline Newspapers, Minna
Others who emerged include; Samson Ojogbane of African Independent Television (AIT), who emerged as the new Vce chairman, while Chinwendu Nnadozie, of Daily Independent Newspapers Limited emerged the State Secretary of SWAN with three years mandate period.
Speaking at the swearing -in which took place at the IBB Pen House, Minna, the state Commissioner for Sports, Mr. Emmanuel Umar called for sustenance of working relationship between SWAN and the Ministry for the growth and development of sports.
Represented by the Director of Sports, Comrade Sheshi Katcha said the ministry welcomed criticisms by SWAN as part of driving force that propels it to act on issues that affects Sports, adding however that such reports must not be geared towards destroying existing bond between the two.
