Judiciary strike: Jigawa CP decries suspects conjunction

Followng the continued judicial strike, the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa state command, Mr Usman Sule Gomna decried conjunction of suspects in cells.
CP Gwomna disclosured this while fielding question to news men in Dutse shortly after an expanded state security meeting chaired by the state governor Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar held at Ahmadu Bello Hall Dutse.
He said “our is conjucsted as a result of the current strike by judiciary staff nation wide”.
Mr. Usman Sule Gonna explained that “we face serious challenges of conjuction in our cell as we can not prosecutes suspect because of the current strike by judiciary staff that stopped court sittings”.
According to him “as you there is so many criminals cases that is not ordinary bellable, such as rape, murder etc that we can not give bell of the suspects and law did not parmit us to transfer them to correctional centers”.
Gomna stated further that “among of the present major challenges by the police is feeding of the suspects in the police cells”, he added that “the amount of feeding had seriously increased”.
He noted that the police had contacted the state attorney general to find a solution to the matter, “I meet the attorney general and he promised to do something, he said he will try to see that even two courts should have special sittings to bring some solutions.
