The Jigawa State Government, Muhammad Abubakar Badaru attributed the present peace being enjoyed in Jigawa state to the good effort made by the past leaders in the state.
Governor Badaru dropped the hint at the launching of grains distribution to vulnerable group by a political group known as BABA for ALL held at Dutse local government secretariat Jigawa state.
He said, the present insecurity bedevilling the country may not be unconnected with previous injustice to some groups of people in the country.
“ In Jigawa our past leaders played a signaficant roles in creating a mutual understanding and harmony among the different groups of people for peace to rain in the state”
“ we are not depending President Buhari or security agencies but, let the truth be told that the since before his emergence as president there is insecurity activities in the country” he said.
The governor then pray for more peace in the state and the country at large, urging Nigerians to embark on special prayers particularly in this month of Ramadan for a better an peaceful Nigeria.
While making his remarks, the leader of BABA for ALL and member representing Ringim/ Taura federal constituency Alhaji Ado Sani Kiri said they disbursed 6,750 bags of rice and maize to vulnerable groups in the state.
He maintained that, each local government received 200 bags rice and 50 bags of maize with aims to support the vulnerable and pray for peace in the country.
