Edo community denies annexing tipper drivers’ property

The people of Okhuoromi Village, Oredo Local Government Area, Edo State have denied grabbing property in which members of Tipper Drivers Association in the State had laid claim to in the locality.

On Monday, the Association in retaliation announced the withdrawal of service to over 300 land developers cutting across over 30 communities and villages in Iyekogba, Sapele, Okhuoromi, Ago-Emokpae, Obagie, Sapele and Airport roads axis in Oredo and part of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the State.

Chairman of the Association, Mr. Austin Uhunwagho hinged that the sanction on alleged grabbing of some property by the people of Okhuoromi community head (Ohen Osun Ewuare II), Mr. Ovbokhan Igbinovia, was named as an actor in the crisis.

Uhunwagho alleged that the structures erected on the confiscated land were demolished, and new structures raised.
