Minister of Youth and Sports,Sunday Dare has called on Nigeria Football Federation to call super eagles coach Gernot Rohr to order.
The minister stated this during his visit to the camp of the Super Eagles in Abuja where he advocated for inclusion of more homebased players in the national team,
‘ I am advocate of homebased players in the national team because I believe they are capable if given the needed support and I have seen situations in the past where homebased players formed the nucleus of our national teams to major competitions’.
‘The late Stephen Keshi led a crop of super eagles players to victory in South Africa 2013 with the nucleus of the team namely Azubuike Egwuekwe,Reuben Gabriel, Sunday Mbah,Godffrey Oboabona,Ejike Uzoenyi and chigozie Agbim all coming from the local league’
He, however charged the players to take advantage of every opportunity and make it count.
