Igali Assures Bayelsans Of Better Days Ahead in Sports Sector

Bayelsa State commissioners for Youth and Sports Development Daniel Igali says his aspirations is to see youths in the state compete favourably with their counterparts across the world.
Mr. Igali who gave the indication in an interview with newsmen in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State Capital, shortly after he was sworn in as commissioner said his aim was to give youths in the state an enabling environment for them to showcase their talents.
He explained that as a state that is endowed with gifted youths providing the right platform would enable them fly the state flag globally and also give the state a veritable window to actualize Governor Douye Diri’s prosperity policies.
On the two state owned teams, Bayelsa United and Bayelsa Queens, Igali who is the president of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation said he would ensure that Bayelsa United return to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL were they rightful belong.
The Commissioner who is equally the vice president of Commonwealth Wrestling Board added that the Bayelsa State sports academy, Asoama would be accorded priority as well as given a face lift.
