The Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Augustine Oghoro, has reaffirmed the resolve of the ministry to continue to collaborate with stakeholders in the education sector to articulate ways of driving the sector to an enviable height.
Oghoro, stated this during the conduct of 2021 June / July NECO Senior School Certificate Examination Coordination Workshop held in Asaba.
The permanent secretary said that it was an annual activity that would enable Home Economics teachers in the state to conduct a two-day test in the various areas of Home Economics as a subject.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Director of Science Education, Mrs Kehinde Oderhowho, disclosed that the workshop would help in enhancing students’ performance.
She noted that it would also guide students towards ensuring that the practical aspects were effectively conducted.
Oderhowho enjoined home economics teachers in the state not to relent in their efforts to bring the subject to enviable height.
