Police authorities in Edo State said three persons have been killed in different locations in connection with a renewed two rival cult groups clash in Edo State that started a week ago, leaving residents in panicky mode.
The recent incident happened on Saturday evening at a Lotto Betting Shop on Saturday evening on Ologbotsere Street, off Benin Technical College (BTC) road in Egor Local Government Area of the State.
Gunmen suspected to be members of rival cult group have killed a member of Edo State Community Security Network (EDSN) simply identified as Endurance, better known as “DMX”, leaving residents of the area in panic.
Spokesman of the Nigeria police, Edo State Command, SP Kotongs Bello confirmed the incident to our Correspondent on Sunday afternoon.
He revealed that, “Three persons have died so far since the fight between ‘Man fight’ and ‘Aye’ which started since last week.
“One of the killings occurred on Friday evening, the two others happened on Saturday morning and evening.”
