JIBWIS chides Jonathan over killings in North

Date:

From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina

The National Chairman Jama’atul Izalatul Bidi’a Wa’ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Sheik Abdullahi Bala Lau, said the country is in a fix due to the biased leadership style of President Goodluck Jonathan against the northern Muslims.

Lau who stated this while speaking to newsmen in Katsina, noted that it is unfortunate that the country is in anarchy that required every individual, especially Muslims to protect themselves and their property.

According to him “we are in a bad era of leadership in the country and only prayers can solve the problem since the Government has failed most especially in handling security”.

He said there is a total deterioration of security particularly in the Northern part of the country, saying the only way out is for the entire Muslims in the country to engage in serious prayers and fasting to rescue the country from collapse.

Sheik Lau said the “sit and look” attitude of the federal government toward the recent kidnap of over 100 girls students in Chibok is an indication of a failed government.

The JIBWIS Chairman said most of the killings in the Northern part is an agenda to destroy the entire Muslims in the region adding “the issue of Boko Haram has already gone, we must accept that the present situation of rampant killing is part of malicious conspiracy to eradicate Muslims in the country”.

Lau said even the leadership of Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) has stopped blaming the killings on Boko Haram, since the targets are also Muslims, adding that government is hiding under the umbrella of Boko Haram to kill innocent Muslims.

The National Chairman said the recent letter of former President Obasanjo to President Jonathan “before it is too late” has actually pictured what is really happening in the country.

He said, the association is demanding justice on the killing of Sheik Albani, saying that it is sad that since the killing, nobody was arrested and taken to court.
