Minister of Environment, Dr. Muhammed Abubakar, has flagged off the environmental health monitoring programme.
The programme was embarked upon by Environmental Health Officers Registration Council(EHORECON) as one of its statutory mandate of ensuring that professional practice is done in accordance with the law.
Abubakar made the disclosure at the 1st National Summit on Environmental Health, with the themed: “Rebranding Environmental Practice: Breaking Barriers, Unlocking Opportunities.”
At the event organized recently, in Abuja,
he said that the launching of the environmental health emergency response volunteers scheme is aimed at bringing the gaps of environmental manpower distribution across the country.
According to him, “the unveiling of the digital base service delivery portal is aimed at digitizing the process of transacting business between Agency and it clients“.
