Halima Zubairu, a nursing mother and resident of Yelwa town in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State is requesting philanthropists across the country to help finance treatment of breast cancer she has been battling with.
According to the patient, she has been battling with the problem nearly a year and had made several efforts together with her husband to see how they could meet up with the medical bills but could not make it due to their financial status.
Halima was first admitted to a hospital in Shika, Zaria where she was asked to pay up to N800,0000 for treatment but had to leave the hospital because they have no means to pay.
She is currently at home, in Yelwa with her husband.
She said, “I have been battling with the illness overtime and I am soliciting for financial assistance from spirited individuals and corporate bodies.
“The treatment has exhausted our resources. My husband has tried so much. He spent nearly all he had to ensure I get cured and up to now we are still required to spend more which is why I am requesting philanthropists to help us get out of this problem, she said”.
