Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, on Tuesday declared that President Bola Tinubu would secure at least 95 per cent of the votes cast in Kaduna State during the 2027 presidential election.
The governor made the declaration during the flag-off of the 122-kilometre Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road project, expressing confidence that Tinubu’s re-election was already assured.
“We are giving Mr President at least 95 per cent of the total votes,” Sani said.
He added, “I have no doubt in my mind. The 2027 election has been concluded.”
Sani attributed his confidence to what he described as the President’s unprecedented commitment to the development of Kaduna State and the wider Northern region.
According to him, no previous Nigerian president had executed as many development projects in Northern Nigeria as Tinubu.
“About two months ago, I came out boldly and said no President in Nigeria has done what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done for us here in Northern Nigeria, and I challenge anyone to prove otherwise,” he said.
The governor listed ongoing Federal Government projects in Kaduna, including the Western Bypass linking Abuja Junction to Karu Motor Park, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to the state.
He also disclosed that work on the Eastern Bypass, which had stalled, would resume within two weeks following discussions with the Minister of Works.
“The construction of the Eastern Bypass is extremely critical for our people, and according to my conversation with the minister, work will resume in the next two weeks by the grace of God,” he said.
Sani maintained that Kaduna would continue to support the Tinubu administration, insisting that the President had placed Northern Nigeria at the centre of his infrastructure agenda.
He questioned why previous administrations failed to execute similar projects in the region despite having opportunities to do so.
“Why was it that other leaders did not do what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing today for Northern Nigeria? Was Northern Nigeria not a priority for them?” the governor asked.
He thanked the President for what he described as his “love for the North, humanity and progress,” pledging continued political support for the administration ahead of the 2027 general election.
