From Ibrahim Sidi Muh’d, Gusau
The newly elected Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Zamfara State chapter, Tukur Umar Maikatako alongside other executives, have formally resumed duty after taking over leadership from the Chairman Caretaker Committee, Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha at the state party headquarters in Gusau yesterday.
Speaking during handover ceremony, Umar Maikatako pledged to promote the party’s popularity to the expected height as his administration will prioritize youths empowerment through facilitating cash assistance to the party members.
Maikatako further called on all party members who felt offended in one way or the other, to forget the past and renew their membership cards as directed by the APC national headquarters.
“As Zamfara State Chairman of the APC, I don’t want to lose even a single out of over a million registered members in the state, because I saw him or her as integral part of the movement towards achieving the party’s dream come 2023.”
